ICWF "Off The Ropes" with Peter Hartin – August 20th, 2008 Edition
Welcome to the 10th edition of ICWF "Off The Ropes" with Peter Hartin. It’s been a complete month since the last "Off the Ropes" was released so I decided to release a new one. This past Saturday August 16th was ICWF Beer Bash 2008 at Chiq’s Bar in St. Petersburg, Florida. The show was a complete success even with a few minor setbacks. One being the fact that the ceiling ended up being lower than originally expected which meant a lot of moves were eliminated. But the superstars prevailed and put on a show that will go down in the ICWF history books.
The first match of the night was Delicious Danny Darling facing off against Bourbon Dragon. I witnessed firsthand the lengths both men went to in order to win. Bourbon Dragon mainly focused on Danny’s left knee trying to weaken it in an effort to stop the onslaught from Danny. However his plan proved to be unsuccessful as the ending saw Danny dodge an impressive spinning kick from Bourbon Dragon and hit an RKO out of nowhere for the 3-count.
Before the second match started The Hollywood Horror Jude Mackenzie came out and talked about how women shouldn’t be competing in professional wrestling instead they should be making his dinner, folding his clothes, washing dishes, and tending to his every need. Well Ms. TnT didn’t take too kindly to that as she came out and confronted Mackenzie. The two brawled for a while ending in Ms. TnT rolling Mackenzie up and getting the win. Mackenzie demanded a rematch and Ms. TnT accepted. Both competitors battled it out in some unforeseen situations including Ms. TnT cornering Mackenzie in the corner and delivering some devastating chops to his chest. In the end Ms. TnT hit a neck breaker on Mackenzie for the victory.
The third match of the night featured the East Street Elite taking on the team of Pretty Fly and Ray Beez for the vacant ICWF Florida Tag Team Titles. Both teams fought back and forth with each team getting the upper hand. In the end however the numbers game became the advantage for East Street Elite leading into their victory and becoming new tag team champions.
The fourth match of the night was Fabulous Frankie Fontaine taking on Superhero Mark Zout. Both men each had moments of offense and defense. At one point Frankie connected with a standing Powder Puff Splash on Mark Zout but it didn’t prove effective to secure the victory. Zout’s strength and size eventually played a key factor in his win over Frankie.
Before the Main Event began Shannon Rose announced to the fans in attendance that there was a special guest in the audience. He informed them that the ICWF’s Inside Reporter was present and had a presentation for the ICWF. After he announced that I entered the ring. I began by saying that the ICWF has been running for almost 7 years now and on September 5th, 2008 it will officially be 7 years of the ICWF delivering excellent and top notch wrestling and entertainment to both North Carolina and Florida fans. I unveiled the acrylic plaque that I had brought to present to the ICWF. I told the fans that there was only one person I knew of to present this plaque to and that was the ICWF’s Prodigal Son, Valek.
Valek came out and entered the ring. He thanked me for the plaque and informed the fans of how long he’d been with the ICWF and how much the plaque means to him. Before I could exit the ring Sedrick Strong’s music started and Sedrick came to the ring. Upon entering the ring he walked straight towards me and shoved me to the mat of the ring. The strength and power that Sedrick put behind that shove left me unable to safely exit the ring and walk backstage under my own power. The referee and a security guard assisted me in exiting the ring and getting back to the backstage area.
After that the main event began. The hatred between these two men couldn’t be contained inside the ring as they ended up brawling all over the area. Whether it was a fan pouring water on Sedrick Strong, or few chops to the chest. The two brought it back in the ring where chops and punches were exchanged. It looked like Valek was going to pick up the victory but the East Street Elite came out to the ring. Fetish and Josh Masters distracted the referee as Eddie Taurus delivered a devastating chair shot to Valek. The referee brought his attention back to Sedrick and Valek just as Sedrick was slowly inching his way over to Valek’s motionless body to pin him for the win. Thus, Sedrick Strong became the ICWF Florida Heavyweight Champion. After the match the East Street Elite entered the ring and started beating down on Valek until Ms. TnT and Delicious Danny Darling ran out to the aid of Valek.

ICWF "Off The Ropes" Report with Peter Hartin – July 6th, 2008 Edition
Welcome to the third interview edition of ICWF "Off the Ropes" Report. My guest for this interview is none other than Kenny Kash. I’d like to start by thanking Kenny for taking the time out of his busy schedule to answer the questions I have made for him. To start off Kenny I’d like to know just how you got interested in professional wrestling?
Kenny: I watched it for years, ever since I can remember. The point that got me on was watching a HALO show and watching Ricky Morton from the Rock 'n Roll Express. I've always watched him growing up and had talked to him after the match. After that the rest was history. I also give a lot of credit to Joey Silvia. He made everything look so easy and so good that I wanted to do what he was doing. He has to be my favorite Indy wrestler.
I’m sure talking to him after the match started you off on your journey to become a professional wrestler. However the fans want to know exactly how long its been since you began your career in the business?
Kenny: I've been in the business roughly around a year and a half.
Well I’m sure that throughout that year and a half you’ve had a good amount of matches whether they were singles or tag team matches. Speaking of tag teams, while you were in CRASH you formed a tag team with Chris Phoenix called Hood City Soldjas. Since forming the Hood City Soldjas you’ve captured numerous wins. How do you feel about Chris as your tag team partner?
Kenny: Chris Phoenix has a lot of potential. I think he can go a long way in the business because the thing he cares about most is the fans. One thing about him, you always know he'll leave everything in that ring once he goes through those curtains. Plus both of us are still learning so it's great to be able to progress at the same time. He is a great guy, and I always can depend on him for an honest answer about matches or anything.
I’m sure its great to have someone else by your side that’s always providing advice and to train with. The two of you have had some amazing tag team matches in CRASH but I want to know which tag team moment from CRASH was your favorite and why?
Kenny: My favorite tag team moment has to be when we won the tag titles. I could see the passion in Chris eyes the moment we won and hearing the crowd’s reaction was priceless. They really made the moment so much more special.
Winning the tag team titles would definitely be a favorite moment of yours. Recently there have been comments about your ego being a little too big which happens to be annoying some people. What is your opinion on this?
Kenny: I've always had an ego. But you have to realize what I've been through. I've never been the biggest guy in anything I do via football, basketball, or even wrestling and I've always been successful. It's more like confidence, a lot of confidence. As a matter of fact, I do have somewhat of an ego. Every time I go out to the ring I tell myself I am the best in the business. That I'll have the best match anyone has ever seen. If I come across in a way that annoys anyone I apologize, but I was always brought up that in anything you do, don't doubt yourself, and I will never doubt anything because I can do anything.
There’s no doubt that having confidence is a plus when competing or participating in anything. Another thing that could relate to never doubting is the old HBK t-shirt that had, "If you believe you will achieve" on the back. A while back you made some comments about Valek based off of other people’s opinions. Do you have any evidence of what has been said about Valek is true or are you listening to what other idiots have said?
Kenny: I personally don't know Valek. I can only go by what I hear. If one person tells me something I think nothing of it. But when eight or nine people tell me the same thing then well it's kind of believable. But for me to judge him I honestly can't because like I said, I’ve never met the guy. Maybe he was like people said and then he changed. Maybe he's still like he was according to what people say. But all I can go off of is what people that are really close to me say. It is what it is though.
I would have to say that with me knowing Valek for about 14 months this August I’d have to say I could never go along with what others say about him. For me I go by how long I’ve known someone, the person I’ve known longer and trust more I usually lean towards believing them more. Fans want to know if you would ever consider working for the ICWF despite the feud between CRASH and ICWF?
Kenny: Honestly, I have beef with no one. I am neutral when it comes to stuff like that. I have nothing to do with the feud; I’m just a wrestler. I'll work for any promotion if their intentions are right and they love the business. If you are trying to put on a good show then I am definitely down with that. If ICWF or APWA or anybody else wants to book me then let's do it.
I’m sure plenty of other promotions would love to book you and allow their fans to experience your style of wrestling. I’m also sure they would book the Hood City Soldjas as well. Speaking of the Hood City Soldjas they are a tag team that’s new to the business. Another tag team that’s been around for longer, the Underworld was a dominant tag team in Indy promotions. Do you think the Hood City Soldjas could step up to the plate and stand toe-to-toe with the Underworld?
Kenny: Oh we can, and if it comes down to it we will. Nothing lasts forever and Hood City Soldjas are taking over lol. Watch your back Underworld haha.
I’m sure that match would go down in the history books as a competitive battle between a new tag team and an undisputed tag team. Fans want to know…if you were offered both a TNA contract and a WWE contract, which would you choose and why?
Kenny: I would probably choose TNA. Just because I know they can use my abilities more than WWE. WWE is based more on size and strength, me...I’m a speed guy who likes to be a high-flyer. But if ROH was on the table, I’d much rather go to that. Fast paced and constant action, now that's my style. I want to have wrestling matches; WWE is more of a storyline drama fest. People don't want to see a marriage; they want to see two guys in the ring performing. That's why I’d much rather do TNA or ROH.
TNA and ROH are definitely a better choice as far as traveling is concerned. WWE has somewhat of a more rough schedule. I know that you certainly have watched WWE while you were growing up. Who were your favorite wrestlers growing up?
Kenny: I had too many favorites lol. Bret Hart, Hulk Hogan, Shawn Michaels...Ric Flair!!! But my favorite wrestler growing up was Tully Blanchard. He was the man, had the girls, the money and could piss anybody off on any given day. He wasn't the biggest, but he was a cocky son of a b*tch. I loved how he'd just get under people's skin because he just thought he was better than everyone. "Everybody wants money", I still remember that song haha.
I share some of the favorites with you as well. Some of my main ones are the Hardy Boyz, Eddie Guerrero, Ric Flair and Chris Benoit. It’s good to know that you had plenty of inspiration to get your career started and I wish you luck with future bookings.
Kenny: Thank You.
Don’t forget fans to once again look forward to the two more in-depth and personal interviews. You have yet to hear from Ms. TnT and the current ICWF NC Heavyweight Champion, Valek.
Got a question or comment for me, then contact me at peter.hartin@gmail.com or message me on myspace at myspace.com/pnasty09.
ICWF "Off The Ropes" Report with Peter Hartin – June 23rd, 2008 Edition
Welcome to the second interview edition of ICWF "Off the Ropes" Report. My guest for this interview is none other than Jagger. I’d like to start by thanking Jagger for taking the time out of his busy schedule to answer the questions I have made for him. To start off Jagger I’d like to know just how you got interested in professional wrestling?
Jagger: My earliest memories of wrestling were watching NWA at a neighbor’s house. I remember Ric Flair and Roddy Piper and The Andersons. I remember always being a fan of the "bad guys"!!! I was such a mark that I actually wrote Vince McMahon a letter when I was 16 or 17, telling him how much he need me on his roster! Then at about 18, I saw an indy show at West Carteret High School run by a guy named David Dawson. I kept in contact with him and CW Anderson for about a year until Dave moved to Newport and started training me and some of the other boys.
I wouldn’t blame you for writing a letter to Vince McMahon, you would be a great addition to the roster if you secured a WWE Developmental deal or even a TNA Contract. You mentioned David Dawson training you and others. How many years have you been wrestling and how many matches do you think you’ve had since starting your career.
Jagger: I have been in the business for over 10 years and have wrestled in front of 2 people in a high school gym and I have wrestled in front of several thousands at the ECW Arena for "Break the Barrier". As far as how many matches, I would say that due to my family life, I haven’t wrestled as many matches as most have in a 10-year career…maybe 120 on the generous end.
That’s certainly a wide range of how many fans you have performed in front of. Speaking of a large fan base like ECW, but what about if you were given the choice between a WWE contract and a TNA contract, which would you choose and why?
Jagger: I would choose TNA. Again, due to my family, I would never accept a WWE contract. Even for a million dollars, I couldn’t be on the road 300 days a year and miss my family growing up. Those guys have a ROUGH schedule.
The WWE Superstars certainly have a rough schedule. Always on the road away from their family and loved ones. The champions have it even rougher as the WWE expects more dedication and hard work from them. You’ve been tag team champions with Scab as Anarchy Now numerous times. But what I want to know is which tag team championship reign meant the most to you and why?
Jagger: I would have to say CRASH, because those are the last ones that we will EVER have. As you know, Scab has retired from wrestling, so after 10 years, that was our last ride as tag champs.
It certainly was a glorious reign with all the controversy added to it as well. Seeing Scab retire after an amazing career is a loss for the wrestling business. However, while Anarchy Now was dominant as a tag team I don’t recall you and Scab ever facing the Underworld, which was also a dominant force in the tag team division. Why is that?
Jagger: Actually, young Peter, you haven’t done your homework on this one. In the match that Anarchy Now won the ICWF Tag Team Titles, we faced The Underworld and Southern Justice in a 3-way dance. So, I guess that makes Anarchy Now the UNDISPUTED dominant tag team of the Havelock/Beaufort region.
With the two of you being a dominant tag team of the Havelock/Beaufort region you have also torn tag teams apart. The tag team I’m referring to is the Underworld. Fans want to know the reason why Anarchy Now got into Danny’s head and convinced him to turn on Valek? Was it because you were scared of the Underworld?
Jagger: Anarchy Now was scared of no one and smarter than everyone. It’s not that we feared The Underworld, but getting rid of them made one less tag team that we had to deal with. And besides, we were tired of them being together.
There’s no doubt Anarchy Now as smarter than other tag teams or else you wouldn’t have had as many tag teams reigns and wins. Splitting the Underworld definitely gave Anarchy Now an advantage with one less tag team in the mix. What are your thoughts on The ICWF Prodigal Son, Valek, who is the current ICWF Heavyweight Champion?
Jagger: Not sure that I understand the nickname. The definition of Prodigal is: Rashly or wastefully extravagant. So, I am not sure how it fits. I have never wrestled him one on one, but if he beat Danny Darling for the ICWF Championship then he must be pretty good, because Danny is very talented.
Danny is definitely a talented superstar along with a lot of other names I can think of. After switching from the ICWF to CRASH and working with them for almost a year controversy struck and you were released from CRASH. However we’ve also heard that you resigned from CRASH not too long after Rodney resigned. The fans want to know, were you fired by CRASH or did you resign?
Jagger: First of all, can one be "fired" from something that they weren’t being paid to do? Since you asked me a shoot question, I’ll give you a shoot answer. A SHORT shoot answer. Kevin was trying to make some stupid decisions that was going to effect some young wrestlers…and for that, he knew I was about to quit just like Rodney had just done, so he sent me a "let’s part ways" email.
That’s a good point there, I don’t see how someone could be fired from something they weren’t being paid to do. Anyways, after parting ways with CRASH, you and other wrestlers have recently started SWE (Shockwave Wrestling Entertainment), what are your thoughts on the promotion?
Jagger: It’s gonna be fun. We aren’t going to have all the bells and whistles that CRASH had, but we will have all of the same wrestlers, and it will be fun. Its gonna be a group of guys and girls who are doing what they have a passion to do…which is entertain the fans the best way that they know how.
I couldn’t agree more based on the talent you have acquired. You’ve got such superstars like Delicious Danny Darling, Chris Phoenix, Vinnie DaMoochie, Kenny Kash, and many more great men and women. As far as SWE goes your first show is July 12th at the Beaufort Boys & Girls Club. You and other wrestlers have been building up so much hype for SWE’s debut. But I want to know how you see the debut of SWE going as far as a beginning fan base?
Jagger: I don’t see a reason that we can’t have over 100 fans at our debut show. The tickets are only $5.00 and it’s at the Beaufort Boys & Girls Club, which has been a great venue. But, it’s all up to the fans if they want to be a part of it!!!
I’m sure the fans will be determined to show up and enjoy the show of a lifetime. The major attraction is the 30-Man Invitational Battle Royal, which will determine the two men to compete for the SWE Championship. If I recall correctly you are one of the very men competing in the Battle Royal. But in order to become SWE Champion you have to last 28 other superstars and then defeat the other remaining superstar in a NO-DQ, No Count-out, No Holds Barred match for the vacant SWE Championship. Do you have a strategy or game plan going into the Battle Royal?
Jagger: My strategy is simple…throw 28 other people out of the ring and when it gets down to me and whoever else is left, beat them in the main event to become the SWE Champ. I left the CRASH Heavyweight Championship when I left CRASH, so I am gonna be hungry for more gold…and bratwurst.
Well, I wish you the best of luck in the Battle Royal. I know you’ll do whatever it takes to become champion. Good luck with SWE and other future endeavors.
Jagger: Thank You.
Don’t forget fans to once again look forward to three more in-depth and personal interviews. You have yet to hear from one half of the Hood City Soldjas, Kenny Kash; Ms. TnT, and the current ICWF NC Heavyweight Champion, Valek.
Got a question or comment for me, then contact me at peter.hartin@gmail.com or message me on myspace at myspace.com/pnasty09.
ICWF "Off The Ropes" Report with Peter Hartin – June 13th, 2008 Edition
Well, fans this is the first interview edition of ICWF "Off the Ropes" Report. I’m here with Delicious Danny Darling. I’d like to start by thanking Danny for taking the time out of his busy schedule to answer the questions I have made for him. First off Danny, how did you get interested in professional wrestling?
Danny: Well, I've always been interested in Professional Wrestling. Ever since I was young I wondered what it would be like to perform in front of a crowd of large magnitude. Granted I haven't gotten there yet but I will.
Well, I’m sure there are plenty of other wrestlers who share the reason why you became interested in professional wrestling. You’ve been in the wrestling business for quite some time now but the fans want to know, how many years have you been in the wrestling business, and how many matches do you think you’ve had so far?
Danny: I have been in the wrestling business for 4 ½ years and still going strong. As for how many matches I’ve had, honestly I really couldn’t tell you. But, if I had to guess I would say around 100.
That’s certainly a lot of matches and I know you are proud of every single one that you have competed in. Among those matches you’ve had countless ones with Valek whether he was your tag team partner or your opponent. Based on the past events between the two of you, what is your opinion of Valek?
Danny: He's a good friend. Valek and I haven’t always seen eye to eye but in the end we are still friends.
I agree with you that he is a good friend. I haven’t known him as long as you have but for as long as I’ve known him he has been a good friend. Last time you were in an ICWF ring you agreed to go with Valek to Florida to train with the Dudley Boys. However you haven’t left yet, why is that?
Danny: There are a number of reasons I haven't left for Florida yet. But, I can only think of one overall answer...My Son.
Family definitely means a lot to you because of the traveling required by wrestling. While in the ICWF you and Valek formed the Underworld, which was a dominant tag team in the ICWF and other promotions. However, after a while you turned on Valek and broke out on your own, eventually becoming the ICWF Heavyweight Champion. The question on everyone’s mind is, would you ever reform The Underworld with Valek?
Danny: Of course I would. We were a great team and we know each other like the back of our hands, and knowing that...makes a great team.
There’s no doubt in anyone’s mind that the Underworld was a dominant tag team. It’s good to know that the possibility of a Underworld reunion is still upon us. However, while you reigned as ICWF Heavyweight Champion you and Valek competed in an Ultimate X Match, a match made famous in TNA, at Wrestling Reunion. The match has to be called the most hard fought battle between the two of you. You both took it to the extreme but in the end Valek walked out victorious. Looking back on that day can you think of anything you would have done differently?
Danny: Honestly I don't think there was anything else I could do. What happened couldn't have happened any other way.
On the topic of TNA, it has been said that the ICWF is a huge supporter of TNA wrestling. If you had to choose between a WWE contract or a TNA contract where would you see yourself going?
Danny: I would definitely go to TNA. I love the Six Sided Ring. Plus, TNA isn't Vince's Land of Giants.
The six-sided ring is definitely a whole different experience than the four-sided ring. Seeing as the ICWF had a six-sided ring as well you’ve already gotten used to the feel of the ring, which is also a major plus. I wish you luck in a future with TNA as I know you’ll make it as you are working hard to make your dream come true like many other wrestlers. There has been this long rivalry between ICWF and CRASH Wrestling. It has been said that Valek has had a real problem with certain folks from CRASH Wrestling. What are your thoughts on this and do you feel Valek is in the wrong?
Danny: Well, I'm not going to get into all that. CRASH Wrestling is dead now. So, there is no need to talk about it.
I understand your position on not getting into it once again. Another promotion running around the same time as the ICWF was HALO. What are your thoughts on the former wrestling promotion, HALO?
Danny: My thoughts? My thoughts are that a self-trained fool ran HALO and it was a backyard wrestling promotion.
While HALO was running, the ICWF was hit with a hard blow when the ICWF Ground Zero Wrestling School was burnt to the ground on June 7th, 2006. Give us your thoughts on this horrific day?
Danny: It was a sad day for us. We never would have thought something like that could happen. But, we bounced right back stronger than before and continued doing what we do best...Entertain.
Nobody foresaw this horrific event. It delivered a blow to the ICWF but the ICWF came back stronger and they are still alive today approaching their 7-year anniversary mark. After the fire occurred though, Halo Wrestling named their street team to "Slowly Starting Fire." Does this raise any suspicions that they had a part in the fire?
Danny: Well, it could be mere coincidence or it could not. But, if what is being implied in your question is true...I hope he gets what's coming to him.
The ICWF rebuilt itself after the tragic event. Running for 7 years now they have defeated many obstacles in their path. Give us your thoughts on ICWF as a company itself from the beginning and to now?
Danny: From the beginning people thought we were a joke. At first I would say we were. I mean we were just starting out. When ICWF first started running shows I was still in Training. Today ICWF has had many shows and they got better and better. Now...ICWF is in Florida doing what it does.
I couldn’t agree more about the ICWF getting better and better. The ICWF being in Florida provides many opportunities for them including new talent introduced into the ICWF. The final question I’m going to ask is a question that fans want to know the answer to. Where do your loyalties lay?
Danny: I'm going to take a different approach on this question. You see wrestling has blinded me from certain things in my life. It has blinded me from my family...my job...and most importantly my little boy. You see if I had to give up wrestling to be with my son I would. I can have countless shows and entertain thousands...but I only get to watch him grow up once. So, in saying that I guess my loyalties lie with my son.
Alright Danny thanks for your time. Glad you could make history as the first person to be featured in an interview-style report. I wish you luck with your career and I always enjoy meeting your son as he’s just like his father. The fans look forward to seeing you in an ICWF ring soon.
Danny: Thank You
Well, fans look forward for another in-depth and personal interview, as there are still four more interviews to be conducted.

ICWF "Off The Ropes" Report with Peter Hartin – June 7th, 2008 Edition
Welcome to the 6th edition of ICWF "Off the Ropes" Report with Peter Hartin. In this edition I’d like to focus on the winners of the poll. The lucky five winners will receive an in-depth and personal interview conducted by me, Peter Hartin. I’ve given them the opportunity to have it be a regular interview or a shoot interview. They’ve made their choices and I’ve made the questions. I allowed them to put in their opinions on what they’d like the questions to focus on and even submit any questions they’d like me to ask them. I appreciate the ones who have done that as it makes my job a lot easier. It isn’t easy coming up with 10 to 20 questions, or if you want to put it even more into reality, coming up with 50 to 100 questions total. I’m doing my best and I should have all the questions completed soon.
Back to the main topic of this report. The winners in order of the most votes to the least amount of votes are: Jagger with 41 votes, Kenny Kash with 36 votes, Delicious Danny Darling with 35 votes, Valek with 30 votes, and Ms. TnT with 28 votes. Days before the poll was taken down Chris Phoenix held the last spot in the top five. Unfortunately in the last couple of hours the poll was up Ms. TnT’s votes sky rocketed and she got 8 new votes to take her from 20 votes to 28 votes putting her one vote ahead of Chris Phoenix’s 27 votes total. I will be finishing up the questions and then I will send the questions to each winner soon.
In other news, on September 5th, 2008 the ICWF will be celebrating its 7-year anniversary. That’s right, the ICWF has been up and running for 7 years so far. They’ve been through hell and back and have overcome any and all obstacles that have come their way. With a fire that destroyed their building in June 2006 and two other promotions trying to eliminate them and bring them down they have come out victorious and still stand strong today. They are the longest running promotion when they were based out of Eastern North Carolina.
Got a question or comment for me, then contact me at peter.hartin@gmail.com or message me on myspace at myspace.com/pnasty09.
Welcome to the 5th edition of ICWF "Off The Ropes" Report with Peter Hartin. I know we have received a major turnout in visits to the last report and I’ve received questions and comments from people who have read it. I wanted to say that as a fan of professional wrestling I had to voice my opinions on a promotion. The information contained in the last report were all facts. Some of the people who read the report may have felt offended or insulted at the information brought before everyone. I do apologize for those of you who sent me messages and applauded me on certain parts of the report but mentioned one or two things that could’ve been tweaked.
I’ve entered in the business as a fan that continues to be loyal and help promotions. I’ve made commitments that other teens wouldn’t. I flew close to 600 miles to help with the ICWF knowing that I’d be purchasing the ticket and that I’d be receiving a little compensation. But its all been worth it because of the experiences I get from helping. I get to consider myself part of the show since I help setup for the show and take everything down once its over.
The world of professional wrestling can be sick and twisted because you never know who to believe or trust. It leaves you watching your back and even makes you question yourself about people you’ve known for a while. There are many in this business that have my respect and trust and there are others who have lost some or all of my respect and trust. But there’s no need to name names and single people out, as those aren’t my intentions. My intentions are to tell the truth, give the facts, and provide the fans with top notch reporting.
I want to make it clear that I have nothing but good things to say about my experiences with the ICWF. In October of 2007 I even purchased and designed a plaque, which I presented to them and is hanging up in the ICWF headquarters. I don’t want to confuse people about whether I’m talking about the ICWF or another promotion when I say promotion. So I wanted to make it crystal clear that I’ve had no complaints concerning the ICWF.
What I’m intrigued by is the fact that before the ICWF relocated to Florida the newly crowned ICWF Heavyweight Champion, Valek, predicted that this promotion would eventually have a fallout due to certain factors/people and warned them of this. However, nobody listened to him and went about with their business. Now 6-7 months later, everything that was predicted is now going on at the moment with this promotion.
In the near future look for reports featuring in-depth interviews with your favorite wrestlers, and don’t forget about the staff that help to put on the show as they will also have an equal opportunity to be interviewed. The interview will feature at least 20 questions that could range from their life outside wrestling, their thoughts on their career so far, and what they hope to accomplish. While I’m on the topic of interviews there’s a possibility that at the next show during intermission I’ll be coming around to you, the fans, and asking you questions concerning your favorite wrestlers of the past and present, your thoughts on the ICWF, your thoughts on the show, and much more. I’ll keep you all updated about that. Well, that sums up this edition of ICWF "Off the Ropes" Report with Peter Hartin. Stay on the lookout because you never know what the next topic will be, when it’ll be posted, and what reactions will come from them.
Got a question or comment for me, then contact me at peter.hartin@gmail.com or message me on myspace at myspace.com/pnasty09.
Welcome to another edition of "Off The Ropes" Report with Peter Hartin. In this edition I'd like to give you all my opinions and feelings on a promotion. I began helping the ICWF in May 2007 doing such things as time keeping, security, and ring crew. At the ICWF I made friends with plenty of people, had memorable experiences, and through the ICWF the doors were opened to other promotions. As I now help with the ICWF I would like to highlight the fact that they have always been a company that the wrestlers, staff, and fans can respect. When they made their debut at the Havelock Tourist and Event Center they sold it out.
Now to the main topic of this report. Throughout the time I've helped with promotions there is one that I'd like to talk about, which will remain anonymous. At one time I had the chance to be an announcer for the promotion and that was a great experience. The next month I was "tossed aside" and made security instead because they had found someone else to be the announcer. The person they chose seemed less professional because he never wore a suit and the announcer is the main person who holds the show together so if he fails the show fails.
I've received comments from them about not trusting the ICWF, and to go train with them instead. Another thing about the promotion is that for one of their shows they gave free tickets to the members and families of a boys and girls club that they held their show at. This can be viewed as a way for the promotion to try and make themselves look more popular because they have a bigger fan base than the ICWF than when the ICWF based out of North Carolina.
I've received messages from the promotion asking me to hurry up and train with them, as they needed more money in order to meet the payments for their building. The reason why I was split on whether to train with them or not was the fact that they didn't offer cardio training which is a major part of wrestling. Just ask any wrestler and they'll agree that without cardio you can't last long in a match. Plus, you can't do a good amount of the cardio techniques outside of the school since they involve a ring.
A female wrestler of the promotion who started training with the ICWF but then let her ego get out of hand and thought she didn't need training and since then has been punched in the face during a match, has had her arm broken because she is not trained and now is blaming every female she has a match with for her own mistakes in the match. A wrestler that she faced posted a blog with her thoughts on the situation of being blamed for someone else's mistake.
The promotion wanted the ICWF to join them and use ICWF's funds to pay for their bills and that will explain why they are struggling to make ends meet. One of their own wrestlers told someone from the ICWF that when they where at the Newport, NC flea mall, that one of the owners got up in the other owners face yelling at him about how they need to find better ways to make the money to pay the bills. The fans that show up at their shows are all thanks to ICWF because the majority of the fans all attended the ICWF shows, meaning the promotion has yet to build up its own fan base. Along with getting their fans from the ICWF, half of the roster that they now have were either trained by the ICWF or were in training with the ICWF.
Many of you all know or have heard of Krazy K. Well, he was once the champion of the promotion. However, he was never brought back to defend his title and therefore they stripped him of it. The truth is he would have defended the title in the time limit but the promotion didn't have the money to pay him to come back and defend it so the only logical thing for them to do was to strip him of the title and put the strap on someone else's shoulders. So since Krazy K never lost the title you could consider the men who held the title after him to be "paper champions". I know that plenty of fans would've loved to see Krazy K defend the title against someone but it never occurred due to the promotion's lack of funds.
Zack and I were helping with the promotion with one of the shows. I had to leave and help with something; once I left the promoter was trying to talk Zack into getting into the ring with little training. I want to heavily emphasize that the things I have mentioned are just a fraction of my entire knowledge of it and that they are all my personal feelings and opinions. I felt that you all needed to hear the truth about the promotion, which will always remain anonymous.

Welcome to the third edition of ICWF "Off The Ropes" Report with Peter Hartin. "The ICWF CRASHES St. Petersburg, Florida". You read it right fans, the ICWF was the place to be on Saturday May 10th as 200 ICWF fans piled into the parking lot of Sneaky Pete’s to watch the gorgeous women brawl it out. I want to thank everyone that came out to the ICWF Diva Mania show. You have to realize that this was the ICWF’s first show in Florida and yet the first show drew 200 people in attendance, which is beyond impressive. I also want to thank Sneaky Pete’s and the other ICWF sponsors for their support.
I had the chance to ask a father and his two sons why they came out to the show. The father told me that they were planning on going to Wing House but once they saw the signs they immediately changed plans. For those of you who don’t know what Wing House is, it's like Hooter’s. While the fans enjoyed the action they were surrounded by plenty of stands to buy ice-cold beverages, and hot food. The long anticipated announcement concerning Brian Pillman was answered where it was revealed that ICWF Owner Allen Draconis has hired the daughter of Brian Pillman, Lexi Pillman, as the new ICWF Co-General Manager for the Florida Territory. She wasn’t present at the show but she will be present at the next show so for all the fans that attended Diva Mania, be sure to attend the next show. The details for the next show will be announced soon so stay tuned to the ICWF Website for all your information involving the ICWF.
The first match of the night featured Fantasie facing off against Stephanie Starr in which Fantasie pulled off the win in this back and forth battle. The second match of the night featured Kacee Carlisle and Ferrari facing off in a match in which each of the divas had a hard fought battle involving plenty of near falls, however it was Kacee Carlisle who left the ring victorious. Lexi Fyfe defeated Jelena in the third match. Lorelei Lee defeated Malia Hosaka after interference from TNA’s Rhaka Khan and Payton Banks. Both divas were down when Rhaka Khan and Payton Banks walked to the ring. Payton Banks jumped up on the apron and distracted the referee as Rhaka Khan slid in the ring and delivered a devastating move to Malia Hosaka. Rhaka Khan quickly left the ring as Lorelei Lee crawled to Malia and pinned her for the win. Rhaka Khan and Payton Banks quickly re-entered the ring and began stomping on Malia until Lexi Fyfe ran to the ring and chased the TNA Knockouts out of the ring. Lexi Fyfe and Malia then challenged the two knockouts to a tag team match later in the night in the main event in which Banks and Khan accepted.
The fifth match featured a Fatal 4-Way Elimination Style match between Betsy Ruth, Mimi, Leva, and Fetish. Before the match got underway Torcher, the referee for the match told Ring Announcer Shannon Rose to inform the two men that accompanied Fetish to the ring that they were to leave ringside immediately as Torcher didn’t want any interfering in the match at all. The two men were enraged at this but eventually left ringside. The match got underway as all four women went to extreme measures to eliminate the others. Fetish was eliminated first, followed by Mimi, which left Leva and Betsy Ruth one on one. Leva eventually pulled off the victory. During intermission some of the divas came out for autographs and photos. Valek entered the ring before intermission concluded. He and Shannon Rose drew the two tickets that put smiles on two children as each child received a TNA Shirt autographed by TNA Knockout’s Rhaka Khan and Payton Banks. Before Valek could exit the ring the two men that were ordered to leave the ring during the fourth match came out with Fetish and informed Valek that they were sent by Ray Rouse to send Valek a message. The men got on separate sides of the ring and Fetish entered the ring as well. Valek went after both men delivering left and rights to both men until Fetish delivered a low-blow to Valek leaving him defenseless as one of the men delivered a spine buster to Valek. Referees rushed to the ring to break up the attack and attend to Valek. Referees Torcher and Brian Braswell helped Valek to the back. The question on everyone’s mind at the event was what message they were sending to Valek. We are trying to get to the bottom of this to let you all know. Finally the main event featured Lexi Fyfe and Malia Hosaka taking on Rhaka Khan and Payton Banks. Lexi Fyfe and Malia Hosaka won the match via disqualification because both Rhaka Khan and Payton Banks refused to adhere to referee Brian Braswell’s 5-count.
Slammin Ladies was in attendance to record the show and they are currently in the process of making the ICWF’s first DVD "Diva Mania". Pre-orders are being received left and right. E-mail the ICWF at icwfwrestling@hotmail.com to order yours today!
